Together with KAARO Lapland, KAARO Aalto focuses on developing assessment practices for visual works and processes as part of the education of art teachers and their continuous learning in the field, using digital learning environments. The activities concentrate especially on developing assessment literacy and criteria regarding the general upper secondary education diploma. A specific aim of the project is to model and produce education modules, sharing platforms and learning material that support peer learning. The project is based on the close cooperation and interaction of teacher trainers, students and in-service teachers as regards planning, sharing and production. In addition, the project will produce research information and support research-based development of assessment literacy in teacher education and continuing education.
KAARO Aalto also takes part in arranging seminars, workshops and other training open to all KAARO project participants as well as in producing online material.
